For retreat centres
How a centre is listed, and how to correct it
The directory lists 123 centres in 8 jurisdictions. Inclusion is decided by the law where a centre operates, never by payment, and every profile is built from sources it cites.
Who is listed
A centre is listed only where the medicine it serves is lawful, state-licensed, unregulated or tolerated, and only while it is verifiably operating. Centres that have closed, or lost or surrendered a licence, are removed. Peyote ceremonies are never listed, anywhere.
| Jurisdiction | Medicine | Footing | Centres |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jamaica | Psilocybin | Legal | 6 |
| Netherlands | Psilocybin (truffles) | Legal | 8 |
| Oregon, USA | Psilocybin | Licensed | 21 |
| Colorado, USA | Psilocybin | Licensed | 46 |
| Peru | Ayahuasca | Legal | 13 |
| Costa Rica | Ayahuasca | Tolerated | 13 |
| Brazil | Ayahuasca | Tolerated | 4 |
| Mexico | Ibogaine | Unregulated | 12 |
Not listed, whatever a centre pays: psilocybin mushrooms in the Netherlands (only fresh truffles are outside the Opium Act), psilocybin or peyote in Mexico (both scheduled), and anything operating underground.
What a profile is built from
- 66 profiles come from the Oregon and Colorado state licence registers, with the centre's own website where it has one.
- The rest come from the centre's own website and, where they exist, independent sources. Every fact carries its source and the date it was read.
- Prices are what the centre publishes, with the page and date. 39 centres publish a price we could record; we never estimate one that is not published.
- 8 profiles carry a public-record section: reported deaths, regulator actions, legal cases or allegations, each dated and sourced.
- No centre has been independently audited, and every profile says so.
Corrections
If a detail is wrong or out of date, send the page where the right one is published and we will correct it. New programmes, dates and prices are added the same way: with the page they appear on.
Right of reply
A centre can reply to any public-record entry. We publish the statement next to the entry, attributed to the centre. If a source shows an entry is wrong, we correct the entry.
Featured placement
A paid placement that puts a listed centre first in its lists, labelled "Featured" wherever it shows. It does not add a centre to the directory, change what a profile says, or remove a record. A centre with a public record is never offered it. Terms are sent on request.
