Do you sell or supply anything?

No. We publish information and, increasingly, a directory of legal retreat centres. We do not sell substances, source them, or tell anyone where to. Messages asking us to will not get a reply.

Question 2

Why won't you list peyote ceremonies when the site is called Peyote.com?

Accepted Answer

Because wild peyote is under real pressure and it is the sacrament of the Native American Church, whose leadership has asked that it not be opened to a wider market. Colorado decriminalised mescaline while deliberately excluding Lophophora williamsii at the request of the National Council of Native American Churches and the Indigenous Peyote Conservation Initiative. We point that demand toward San Pedro instead, which carries the same primary alkaloid and can be cultivated legally.

Is any of this legal where I live?

It depends enormously on where that is, and the answer changes. Psilocybin is licensed in Oregon, legal in Jamaica, decriminalised in Portugal and prosecuted in Norway. Check our legal status table as a starting point, then confirm with a qualified local source before acting.

Question 4

Can I take this with my antidepressant?

Usually not safely, and with ayahuasca the combination can be fatal, because it contains MAOIs, and combining those with an SSRI or SNRI can cause serotonin syndrome. Lithium plus a classic psychedelic has been linked to seizures. Tapering off a psychiatric medication is itself medically risky. This is a conversation for a clinician, not a retreat's intake form.

How do you decide which retreats to list?

The directory is being built now. Centres must operate lawfully in their jurisdiction and satisfy checks on medical screening, on-site clinical cover, facilitator training and emergency protocol. Paying us will not buy a listing or a better review, and placement and editorial assessment are kept separate.

How do you make money?

By connecting people who are seriously considering a retreat with centres that fit them, and through paid directory placement clearly marked as such. We don't run programmatic advertising. Where a commercial relationship exists, we say so on the page.

Is this medical advice?

Accepted Answer

No. It's educational. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription, or a recommendation to use any substance. Psychedelics carry genuine psychiatric and cardiac risks, and those risks are not evenly distributed across people.

Accepted Answer

Yes to both, and corrections especially. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we'll fix it and say that we did.
