How much does Rythmia cost? The price, what it covers and what it leaves out

Its cost FAQ says that price is for a shared room, and that private rooms and suites are priced on request. At the starting price that is $700 a night, against a median of $611 a night across the 9 Costa Rica ayahuasca centres that publish a price.

Figures computed from the directory's rows, read 29 Oct 2026. Every fact links to its source.

The published price

The pricing page shows the 7-night all-inclusive programme “Starting at $4,900 USD” (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026). Rythmia's cost FAQ says the rate is per person and varies by room type and time of year, and its table of room tiers gives a price for one tier only (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026):

RoomOccupancy7 nights, from
Shared roomShared$4,900
Standard privatePrivateOn request
Executive suitePrivateOn request

So $4,900 is the floor for a shared room. A private room costs more, by an amount Rythmia gives only when you ask. The same FAQ says a 14-night stay is offered, also priced on request (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026).

What Rythmia says the rate covers

The cost FAQ lists, for a 7-night stay (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026):

  • 7 nights' accommodation and 21 organic meals
  • 4 ayahuasca ceremonies, each optional
  • 3 “Answer is You” classes, 6 yoga sessions, 2 meditation classes and 3 breathwork classes
  • 1 massage, 2 colonic cleanses and 1 beach trip
  • Doctors and nurses on site around the clock
  • Transport to and from the airport

The airport transfer means Rythmia's shuttle from Liberia airport, about an hour away. Its packing FAQ says the shuttle is included when you pay in full at booking, and that Rythmia does not arrange transport from San Jose (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026).

What it leaves out, or does not settle

The ceremony payment. The cost FAQ counts the ceremonies as part of the all-inclusive rate (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026). The pricing page says something different:

“All monies paid for the plant medicine ceremonies are paid to a third party, unrelated to Rythmia, on-site in Costa Rica. This payment is optional, and is only due to the third party if the client chooses to participate in the plant medicine ceremonies.” (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026)

Neither page gives an amount. Ask Rythmia in writing whether anything is payable on site for the ceremonies, to whom and how much, before you pay.

Extras. The cost FAQ names laundry, a premium juice programme and massages beyond the included one, and says guests joining Herbal Support Therapy pay a $250 cash fee on arrival (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026). One-to-one integration coaching after the stay costs extra (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026).

Getting there. International flights are not in any list of what the rate covers on the pages we read, and nor is travel insurance. The shuttle runs from Liberia (LIR) only; San Jose (SJO) is a 4 to 5 hour drive that Rythmia says it cannot cover (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026; Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026).

Booking terms

Rythmia's booking FAQ describes a call with a guest consultant, then a written medical questionnaire that its clinical team reviews, then a $500 deposit, with the balance due within 14 days (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026). Its booking and cost FAQs both set these terms (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026; Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026):

  • All reservations are non-refundable. If you cancel, your payment becomes a credit toward a future stay.
  • A booking rescheduled or transferred three or more times costs $200 more.
  • Deposits not turned into a confirmed booking within one year are forfeited.

Its screening FAQ also describes an in person evaluation by staff physicians when you arrive (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026). None of these pages says what happens to your payment if that evaluation finds you should not sit in ceremony. Ask before you pay the balance. Rythmia also runs a sponsorship programme with a limited number of scholarships each year (Rythmia, own site, 29 Oct 2026).

Price per night against other Costa Rica centres

At the starting price Rythmia works out at $700 a night. For the stay closest to a week, the 9 Costa Rica ayahuasca centres that publish a price run from $198 to $1,275 a night, with a median of $611. Rythmia is number 7 of 9, cheapest first.

Each figure is the centre's own starting price on its own site, divided by the nights stated. What a price includes differs from centre to centre: airport transfers, private rooms and integration support are in some and not others. The Costa Rica comparison sets out ceremonies, group size and screening for each.

What to ask before you book

  • The price for the room you want, on your dates, in writing.
  • Whether anything is payable on site for the ceremonies, to whom, and how much.
  • Which extras you are likely to want, and their prices.
  • What happens to your payment if the medical evaluation on arrival finds you should not sit in ceremony.
  • Whether the Liberia shuttle is included on the payment plan you choose.
  • How long any credit from a cancellation stays valid.
